Black Dad Spotlight: Daddy-daughter melodies capture Michelle Obama’s attention
It’s a tune that’s hard to forget.
“I love my black so much, so much, so much.”
Muscian and father Daniel Johnson’s Instagram page is filled with clips of him and his 5-year-old daughter Kody singing joyfully about self love.
One of their videos drew some very special attention.
Former First Lady Michelle Obama shared the pair on her Instagram page on Wednesday.
“I just love this!,” Obama wrote. “Kody and Daniel are so right: we are strong 💪🏾. #BlackJoy”
Clearly speechless, all he could do was repost her words in an Instagram story with four face palm emojis.
In the video Obama recognized, Johnson and his daughter are chorusing while he plays his keyboard.
The musical duo, who went viral earlier this month, specialize in songs written to empower little Black kids.
