Cardi B pregnant, reveals baby bump on Saturday Night Live

“I’m finally free,” Cardi B exclaimed.

After months of speculation, the record-breaking emcee revealed her baby bump during her performance on Saturday Night Live. She wore a white bodycon gown to show that she is expecting her first child with fiancé Offset.

The big reveal came the day after the “Bodak Yellow” rapper’s first studio album, Invasion of Privacy, dropped. The debut album is already bound for No. 1.

For the last few weeks, Cardi had seemingly been hiding her form beneath increasingly roomy clothing; the night before the SNL appearance, she wore a spacious pink metallic dress than many speculated — and correctly so — was hiding her bump.

Now, the bump’s out the bag!

Social media flooded with congratulatory posts to the expecting record-breaking rapper, including an Instagram shoutout from Remy Ma. Remy described how proud she was of the novice for securing her career while having the freedom to reveal the pregnancy.

In January, Cardi became the first rapper — and only the third artist — to have her first three Billboard Hot 100 singles in the top 10 at once, putting her in company with the Beatles and Ashanti. She also became the first female solo rapper to hit No. 1 since Lauryn Hill did it nearly two decades ago.

Cardi rose to stardom after a stint with VH1’s Love & Hip-Hop series.

She and Offset got engaged in October. The baby will be his fourth child.

Welcome to motherhood, Cardi B.
