Black Dad Spotlight: Philly fathers bond with daughters over ballet

Clad in their best weekend dad attire, a group of Philadelphia fathers learned plies, twirls and a little bit of yoga alongside their young daughters.
E’chappe Dance Arts, a dance studio in the city, offers a two-hour daddy-and-me dance and yoga class for bonding. A recent clip of the “BOGA” dance class went viral, providing a front-row seat to a sweet display of black fatherhood.
“Good dads are being highlighted. This is the part that’s amazing to me,” Erin Lee said in a local television story about her studio, which offers an assortment of dance classes for children between the ages of 3 and 17.
She is hosting the next BOGA dance class on Nov. 30 for $35 a pair. This daddy-daughter class is open for children between 4 and 15, and spots are quickly filling up.
